Dan River Emmaus Walk #108

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior”
2 Samuel 22:2 (NLT)
Springs of Life Camp · Patrick Springs, VA · September 10–13, 2026
The Walk Banner →The Weekend
Every man who walked into Springs of Life Camp on Thursday carried something heavy. Years of it. The kind of weight you stop noticing because you have never known a day without it.
Three days later, the men of Dan River Emmaus Walk #108 walked out lighter. Not because of a program. Not because of a speaker. Because the same God who rolled the stone from the tomb on Sunday morning still rolls stones.
This site is a tribute to that weekend. To the pilgrims who did the hard work of showing up and staying open. To the team who served them. And to the Christ who met every one of us there.
What happened at the camp stays between each man and God. But the freedom that came home with us is something we will not hide.
“And when they looked, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large.”
Walk Song
The song had grit to it. Deep, hard beats. It fit the weekend, because the men worked hard, and Christ moved on their hearts.

Fifteen Talks
Every Walk to Emmaus is built on the same fifteen talks, given by clergy and laity, each one a step further down the road. These are the fifteen that were given on #108.

To the men of DRE #108: the stone is gone. Don’t go back and sit in the tomb. Fourth Day starts now.
